We are pleased to announce the selection of the new Director of the Office of National Scholarships and Fellowships, Mr. Andrew Seidler, who will officially begin his appointment on January 1, 2016.
Andrew Seidler has worked at UT since 2010. Currently he serves as Assistant Director of Undergraduate Programs in the Haslam College of Business. There he advises students in the college’s honors program, Global Leadership Scholars, and develops supporting programming. Andrew also manages undergraduate international activities for the college and leads first-year study abroad programs to Cuba and to Costa Rica. In 2013 he received the college’s Outstanding Staff Innovation & Creativity Award. Andrew is in the final year of coursework in a doctoral program in Educational Psychology and Research, where he is focused on collaborative learning and communication. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in History, from Colby College and spent six months at the University of Oxford (St. Catherine’s College) studying medieval and colonial British history. He completed a Master of Science degree in Education and Social Policy (higher education) from Northwestern University.
