Knight-Hennessy Scholars

Each year the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program will identify a group of 100 high-achieving students from around the world with demonstrated leadership and civic commitment to receive full funding to pursue a wide-ranging graduate education at Stanford University, with the goal of developing a new generation of global leaders. The Knight-Hennessy Scholars is the largest fully endowed scholars program in the world. The Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program will prepare a new generation of leaders with a deep academic foundation and the skills to develop creative solutions to effect positive change in the world.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Have completed your first/bachelor’s degree within four years of applying.
  • Enrolling in a full-time graduate, or joint- and dual-graduate degree options.
  • Meet the requirements of the intended Stanford graduate program.
    English proficiency test (if needed)

Application Process:
To begin the process, please complete the Declaration of Intent. Application requirements include an online application, personal statement, transcripts, four letters of recommendation, an introductory video, two essays, and a current resume, in addition to application requirements associated with your desired graduate program at Stanford.
